Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic says this party will back the initiative for a government no-confidence vote. Vucic also proposed a series of measures to resolve the crisis caused by “bad moves made by the National Bank of Serbia”, as he addressed a news conference in Belgrade on Friday. “SNS will support no-confidence bid” He said that the SNS will come forward with its own solutions “because the government and NBS had made a series of wrong moves which jeopardize the economic stability and future of Serbia”. A postponement of the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) with the EU regarding a unilateral liberalization of imports and increasing the privileges for domestic producers in the public procurement proceedings, as well as introduction of additional tariffs on imported products, are among the measures Vucic proposed. Parliament Caucasus of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), New Serbia (NS) and the Serb Radical Party (SRS) filed a motion for a no-confidence vote in early November. The SNS is an offshoot of the SRS, formed several months ago when then Radicals’ deputy leader Tomislav Nikolic left the party.
