According to data from Flightradar24, the U.S. military aircraft disappeared over the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most critical and tense waterways in the world.

The U.S. military immediately deployed two helicopters from Al Udeid Air Base, and a search operation for the aircraft is currently underway.

This incident comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with ongoing operations, reports of GPS interference, and naval deployments around the Strait of Hormuz.

 

There has been no official confirmation yet from United States Central Command regarding the status of the crew or the exact cause of the disappearance from radar.

The KC-135 Stratotanker is used for aerial refueling and serves as a crucial support asset for U.S. fighter jets patrolling above the Strait of Hormuz amid escalating tensions with Iran and the disruption of this key oil and gas transit route.
