Dramatic message from Washington, D.C.: "Iran will be wiped off the face of the Earth"
Donald Trump, the president of the United States, threatened Iran with being “wiped off the face of the Earth” in the event of an attack on U.S. vessels, while announcing Operation “Freedom Project” to extract ships from the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump said today that Iran would be “wiped off the face of the Earth” if it attacks American ships carrying out the “Freedom Project.”
In an interview with Fox News, he said he believes Iran has become “much more accommodating” in peace negotiations. Trump also emphasized that the U.S. military buildup in the region is continuing.
“We have more weapons and ammunition of much higher quality than before. We have the best equipment… We have bases all over the world. They are all supplied. We can use all of that and we will use it if we need to,” the U.S. president stated.
Trump announced on Sunday that the United States will launch an operation to safely extract ships from the Strait of Hormuz, set to begin Monday morning local time, calling it the “Freedom Project.”
In a post on the social platform Truth Social, he described it as a humanitarian initiative for countries not involved in the Middle East conflict. He added that several states had requested U.S. assistance to help safely remove vessels blocked in the strait, even though, as he noted, they have no connection to the ongoing conflict.
He stressed that the goal of the operation is to help “people, companies, and states that have done nothing wrong, but are victims of circumstances.”
