"We are sinking the entire Iranian navy… And we won't stop" VIDEO
The U.S. military has destroyed 17 Iranian ships, including a submarine, as part of a military campaign against Iran involving tens of thousands of troops, Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East, stated in a video message.
“Simply put, we are focused on anything that can hit us,” Admiral Brad Cooper said in a message posted on the social media platform X, describing “undoubtedly surgically precise strikes” by B-2 and B-1 bombers.
“We are also sinking the Iranian navy—the entire navy,” he added.
“So far, we have destroyed 17 Iranian ships, including the most operational Iranian submarine, which now has a hole in its side.”
“The Iranian regime has obstructed international maritime traffic for decades. Today, there is not a single Iranian ship in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, or Gulf of Oman,” Admiral Brad Cooper said.
“And we won’t stop,” he emphasized.
“Nearly 2,000 targets hit”
Cooper’s comments come four days after the start of the U.S. military operation against Iran, named Operation Epic Fury. Defense Department officials confirmed that the destruction of the Iranian navy is the primary goal of the operation. According to Cooper, more than 50,000 U.S. troops and over 200 combat aircraft are participating, with strikes carried out continuously.
“In less than 100 hours since the start of this operation, we have already hit nearly 2,000 targets with more than 2,000 munitions,” he said.
In response to U.S. and Israeli bombardments, Iran has launched over 500 ballistic missiles and more than 2,000 drones, Cooper said. Despite this, he claimed that Tehran’s “ability to strike them is diminishing.”
