During a hearing before the U.S. Congress, he stated that the school was located near a missile base of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which, according to him, makes the investigation more complex, reports Sky News.

In the U.S. attack on a school in the city of Minab in southern Iran on February 28 this year, 73 boys, 47 girls, 26 teachers, seven parents, a school bus driver, and one other adult were killed.

U.S. officials have repeatedly refused to take responsibility for the attack, Sky News recalls.

Iranian officials categorically rejected the U.S. military’s claim that the school was located next to a missile base, calling such allegations “shameless lies.”
