Iran’s Revolutionary Guard: We have full control over the Strait of Hormuz

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced today that it has “full control” over the Strait of Hormuz, a key transport route for oil and gas, warning that any vessel attempting to pass risks damage from missiles or stray drones.

An IRGC Navy official, Mohammad Akbarzadeh, told the Fars News Agency that the strait is “currently under the full control of the navy of the Islamic Republic,” as reported by The Times of Israel.

U.S. President Donald Trump said yesterday that the U.S. Navy is prepared to escort oil tankers through this crucial Gulf shipping route.

Epic Fury” destroys – 2,000 targets hit in 100 hours

In the first 100 hours of operations in Iran, nearly 2,000 targets were struck using more than 2,000 munitions, said Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

According to him, more than 50,000 troops, around 200 fighter pilots, and two aircraft carrier groups have participated in the “Epic Fury” operation so far, NBC reported.

He stated that B-2 and B-1 bombers carried out strikes on missile facilities deep inside Iran.

Cooper assessed that the scale of the attacks on Iran far exceeded the “shock and awe” campaign of 2003 during the Iraq invasion.
