Hezbollah leader killed?
Mohammed Raad, the leader of Hezbollah’s parliamentary wing, was reportedly killed in an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) strike on targets in Lebanon, Saudi television networks Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath reported this morning.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated that the launching of rockets toward Israel undermines efforts to keep Lebanon out of the regional conflict, and Al-Arabiya correspondents reported that all schools and educational institutions in Lebanon have been closed by order of the Ministry of Education.
Israel announced that the strikes were carried out in retaliation for Hezbollah firing several rockets into northern Israel overnight.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that they targeted several high-ranking Hezbollah members in Beirut and a “key Hezbollah terrorist” in southern Lebanon, but did not confirm any names.

“Hezbollah chose the Iranian regime over the Lebanese state and launched an attack on our civilians. We were ready – and they will pay dearly,” said IDF Northern Command chief, Major General Rafi Milo.
