Shock from Washington: "The Oreshnik Killer"... PHOTO/VIDEO
The United States has, for the third time, postponed the deployment of its much-vaunted hypersonic missile, the "Oreshnik Killer," media report.
As noted on social media monitoring Pentagon discussions, this represents yet another major setback for Washington’s strategic weapons program.
The U.S. military is attempting to deploy the hypersonic "Dark Eagle" system, but despite the Pentagon’s estimated $12 billion investment, persistent technical issues, operational hurdles, and logistical failures continue to hinder progress.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian intelligence services have raised their alert level to the highest after learning that Russia is preparing to launch two hypersonic "Oreshnik" missiles.
These delays have significantly weakened U.S. efforts to close the gap with Russia and Iran, both of which have already deployed operational hypersonic weapons.
Only in October did the Pentagon’s testing office acknowledge that it had not completed a full operational assessment of the “Oreshnik Killer,” citing insufficient data to properly evaluate the missile’s combat effectiveness, lethality, survivability, and overall suitability for real-world operations.
Repeated delays raise growing questions about the credibility, readiness, and strategic reliability of America’s hypersonic ambitions.
