“I bought a large and beautiful globe for 15,000 Czech crowns (around 620 euros) to see exactly where Greenland is. According to estimates, Russian ‘Nutcracker’ supermissiles would reach the White House from Russia in 26 minutes, flying directly over Greenland,” said Babiš, according to Czech television Prima.
He added that, for this reason, he considers relevant the arguments of President Trump regarding the security challenges posed by Russia and China, noting that open conflicts are counterproductive.
When asked whether the Czech Republic stands with Greenland and whether it would join the joint statement of European countries warning against the introduction of U.S. tariffs, Babiš said he could not confirm that.
“In NATO, the leader is the United States. Such conflicts are counterproductive, and we must reach an agreement,” concluded the Czech Prime Minister.
