Netanyahu also said he ordered Israeli diplomatic missions around the world to increase security, according to a statement from his office, Reuters reports.

Earlier, Israeli President Isaac Herzog called the killing of two Israeli embassy officials in Washington a "heinous anti-Semitic terrorist attack" and added that Israel stands by the Jewish community in the US.

"America and Israel will always be united in the defense of our peoples and common values. We will not allow terror and hatred to break us," announced Herzog.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said that "Israel will not surrender to terrorism", according to CNN.

Two employees of the Embassy of Israel in the USA, a man and a woman, were killed this morning in a shooting that took place in front of the Jewish Museum (Capital Jewish Museum) in Washington, and the suspect was arrested.
