Vučić visits the Živković family in Jabučje
“A Health Center will be built next year” in Mionica
Vučić asked whether Mionica is also facing a shortage of doctors.
“As for the health center, we will take care of that next year, but when it comes to doctors, we don’t know what to do. Everyone wants to work at the hospital in Valjevo or in Belgrade, but no one wants to go to Lajkovac or Valjevo. We will have to offer higher salaries at the national level, with pay being higher than for those working in the city center. We are struggling to get doctors to go to Ugrinovci and Batajnica, but they want to work right in central Belgrade and nowhere else,” Vučić explained.
Lajkovac residents present their concerns to Vučić
Aleksandar Vučić, the lead candidate of the “Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia” electoral list, spoke with residents of the village of Jabučje in Lajkovac and listened to their concerns.
“The water supply issue is very difficult, but I will do everything I can. If we manage to solve it, it will be the greatest success and guarantee a better future. I believe we need to find the first three billion euros, and then another three billion, to get this project underway. I also want to hear from you what else needs to be done,” Vučić stressed.
One of the biggest problems is the shortage of doctors, with local officials saying the municipality could accommodate as many as 10 doctors.
“We have a shortage of doctors everywhere, while there is a huge surplus in central Belgrade. We will have to find a solution or provide special subsidies for people who work in smaller communities. This is not just an issue for Slovac, but for the whole of Serbia. Otherwise, people in these areas will not have adequate access to healthcare,” he added.
“We will have to do a great deal of work on this,” he stressed.
