Student List: "We demand the resignations of the heads of the Police, Security Intelligence Agency (BIA), VBA"

Representatives of the “Student List – Students Are Winning” movement stated at a press conference held in Pionirski Park that change begins immediately and outlined their demands.

“We call on employees of state institutions, media outlets, and companies to report any destruction of documentation,” representatives of the list said.

They urged citizens to act as whistleblowers and protect institutions. To this end, they are setting up an email address for submitting reports — uzbunjivači@studenti.org.rs — intended for whistleblowers across all institutions.

The students also presented measures to ensure the lawful functioning of institutions.

Professor Mirjana Nikolić called on the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM) to stop Informer from spreading hate speech.

The Student List is also demanding the immediate dismissal of Marko Kričak, head of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP); Gendarmerie Commander Radosav Rebac; Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ) Commander Igor Žmirić; the head of the Police Directorate in Valjevo; and all other police employees who have violated the law.

They are demanding that these positions be filled by officers who will ensure the independent functioning of the police, as well as the immediate reinstatement of all those who were unjustifiably removed from their posts.

They are calling for the immediate and irrevocable resignation of Dragan Vasiljević, the Director of Police.

“Given that the Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) has acted as a partisan security service, we demand that Vladimir Orlić submit his irrevocable resignation,” representatives of the Student List said.

They are also demanding the immediate and irrevocable resignation of the Director of the Military Security Agency (VBA). They are calling on VBA personnel to immediately stop putting pressure on officials and journalists and return to carrying out their legal duties.

They are demanding the immediate and irrevocable resignation of Nenad Stefanović, arguing that he has undermined public confidence in the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office (VJT).

They are also calling for the immediate and irrevocable resignation of Vladan Petrov, whom they accuse of acting in the interests of Aleksandar Vučić’s administration.

The students are demanding that the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) immediately announce the final results of the parliamentary elections.

“The Student List has come to return institutions to the citizens. Anyone who has violated the law must be held accountable within the time frame prescribed by law,” they declared.
