A cordial meeting; Vučić welcomed Mohammed bin Zayed: The man who showed his attitude towards Serbia in action
The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, welcomed the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Serbia.
"A friendship that is built long, patiently and sincerely has a firm foundation in loyalty, mutual respect and trust. Serbia has such a friend, whom I welcome today with pride and great gratitude," Aleksandar Vučić wrote on Instagram.
He added that President Mohammed bin Zayed is one of the greatest world leaders and a man who has demonstrated his relationship with Serbia and our citizens in action in the most difficult times.
"With such a friend, we want to share a future in which we will achieve the vision of success and progress for which we are fighting. Welcome, dear friend!", Vučić wrote.
Vučić emphasized that he "had the honor of hosting in Belgrade the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, a visionary, a man who for decades has been the embodiment of the stability and strength of the Emirati people."
"This visit represents a strong signal of the trust that the UAE has in Serbia, but also a confirmation of the relations that we have built over the years on the basis of mutual respect, friendship and strategic partnership. We discussed expanding economic cooperation, new investment opportunities, improving air connectivity, as well as specific projects in the fields of tourism, infrastructure and energy. We also paid special attention to the upcoming EXPO2027 exhibition in Belgrade, because it is our chance to show what Serbia really is, modern and dynamic, a country of great ideas, young talents and new technologies. In 2027, Belgrade will be much more than the host of an event - it will be the host of a vision of the future.
Today, we visited our largest and most important joint project - Belgrade Waterfront, and I believe that we will soon witness new, major joint ventures that will contribute to the economic development of Serbia.
I am grateful to Sheikh Mohammed for the trust shown, the warm words about Serbia and the readiness to move forward together towards new forms of cooperation. The United Arab Emirates are sincere friends of Serbia. We do not measure these friendships only with words, but also with actions. Even today, when the world is facing numerous challenges, it is especially important to have such allies. Serbia always welcomes you with an open heart, with respect and gratitude," wrote Vučić.
