On the agenda are several interstate agreements, as well as contracts on the confirmation of credit arrangements for the financing of certain infrastructure projects in Serbia.

Today's agenda includes, among other things, the draft law on the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Serbia and the Government of the USA on strategic cooperation in the field of energy in Serbia and the Draft Law on amendments to the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance.

As previously announced by the Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabić, the resignation of Prime Minister Miloš Vučević should be confirmed at the end of the session.

Last Thursday, the National Assembly adopted bills from items 1 to 32 of the agenda, as well as items 65 and 66 of the agenda.

After a three-day discussion, MPs adopted several laws, among which are amendments to the Law on Higher Education, which stipulates that tuition fees for students will be reduced by 50 percent, as well as a law postponing the introduction of the state matriculation exam for 2028/2029.

The MPs also adopted the Law on establishing a guarantee scheme and subsidizing part of the interest as a measure to support young people in purchasing their first residential real estate.

A set of financial laws was also adopted, including the Law on the Protection of Users of Financial Services, which limits interest rates on almost all types of loans, housing loans and all types of consumer and cash loans, including credit cards and permitted and unauthorized overdrafts.

On the first day of the regular spring session, members of the opposition caused a disturbance in the parliament by throwing smoke bombs, injuring three female MPs and disrupting the work of the parliament by making noise and blowing whistles and vuvuzelas.
