The Kremlin has rejected US President Donald Trump's call for Russia to withdraw from Venezuela.

On Wednesday, Trump urged Russia to withdraw from Venezuela and stressed that, in order to achieve that goal, "all options were open," Reuters reported.

Konstantin Kosachev, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the upper house of the Russian Parliament, the Federation Council, said that the best way for the United States to show Russia how to leave Venezuela was to lead by example and to itself withdraw from the country.

He also assessed that Trump was trying to "insolently interfere in relations between two sovereign states."
