Kusturica appointed as member of Crown Council

Crown Prince Aleksandar II Karađorđevoć appointed on Friday film director Emir Kusturica as a member of the Crown Council.

"It is my great honor and pleasure to formally confirm Your appointment as a member of the Crown Council. I am delighted that we will have an opportunity to work together to the benefit of our people in the years to come," the prince noted in his letter to Kusturica.

The famed Serbian film director has recently announced that he is writing a scenario for a movie about human organ trafficking in Kosovo that would be shot in Russia.

Before that, Kusturica signed in Banja Luka a letter of intent with Director of Italian Opera House La Fenice Cristiano Chiarot for co-production of the opera The Bridge on the Drina River which should premiere in Andrićgrad on June 28, 2014.


Gregorian calendar Easter celebrated in Serbia
