Ambassador Lukic told B92 that the information there were no Serbians there came from "our tourist agencies." However, he added there were currently several hundred Serbian tourists "in the zone between Sousse and Hammamet."

"The ethnicity of the victims has not been announced," he remarked.

The area around Sousse has been put under blockade, Lukic said, and added that he will "visit our tourists as soon as possible."

The diplomat also said that two more groups of Serbians are due to arrive to Tunisia today, and that he would "greet them and help with their transfer."

RT is reporting that "two gunmen armed with Kalashnikov rifles reportedly penetrated a private area and opened fire" on a beach near the two hotels, one of which is the five-star Imperial Marhaba.

According to the same source, one gunman has been killed, and another captured.
