Kosovo Albanians protest against Brussels negotiations

Members and supporters of the Ethnic Albanian Self-Determination Movement protested today against a possible agreement between Belgrade and Priština.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA Members and supporters of the Ethnic Albanian Self-Determination Movement protested today against a possible agreement between Belgrade and Pristina. The protest was held in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica. Kosovo Albanians protest against Brussels negotiations According to Kosovo police, around 2,000 Albanians attended the rally. They carried Albanian and U.S. flags and chanted messages against the Kosovo government and prime minister. The Self-Determination Movement activists said that the Belgrade-Pristina negotiations were harmful to Kosovo. Self-Determination Movement leader Albin Kurti said the protest was not aimed against Serbs but against Serbia that “is instrumentalizinh citizens against Albanians”. He said that the movement would hold protests against the Kosovo government for treason if an agreement was reached on April 2 in Brussels. Kurti noted that Kosovska Mitrovica could not be partitioned. The rally went without incidents. KFOR troops and Kosovo police special units ROSU were present during the protest. The Self-Determination Movement activists said that the Belgrade-Priština negotiations were harmful to Kosovo.

Self-Determination Movement leader Albin Kurti said the protest was not aimed against Serbs but against Serbia that “is instrumentalizinh citizens against Albanians”.
