Well, UN controls Serbia. But only the UN can change Kosovo status.
(Ron, 31 March 2013 19:26)

I think we're saying the same thing. That Serbia is not in charge in Kosovo; UN is. So Kosovo is independent from Serbia and it's great that you finally got that, as well.
----------

So until 1244 is replaced Kosovo will be a province of Serbia.
(Ron, 31 March 2013 19:26)

Until UNSCR 1244 is replaced Kosovo will be independent from Serbia because Kosovo's declaration of independence was in accordance with UNSCR 1244 (thanks to Vuk who pushed hard for having that clarified). Now, if in Serbian that means "Kosovo is a province of Serbia", I don't think anybody has a problem with that - it's just a matter of defition :)
----------

Meaning no UN, EU or UEFA for Kosovo!
(Ron, 31 March 2013 19:26)

UNSCR 1244 says nothing about UN, EU or UEFA and the EU, UN or EUFA say nothing about UNSCR 1244 preventing Kosovo from joining any of them. Just a note that I'm referring to the Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish versions of UNSCR 1244 - the famous Serbia version, which has not been produced yet despite repeated requests in these forums, could very well say that Kosovo cannot join UN, EU or UEFA (but I don't speak Serbia so I trust you on that).

Yup, UN, not Serbia, is in control so Kosovo is indeed independent from Serbia.

You should worry about what your country men Avni, Amer etc write and not worry about me. When you begin to question and condem their derogatory comments I will stop mine. I'm simply giving you a taste of your own medicine.
(MikeC, 31 March 2013 15:17)

I don't think any of them has considered Serbs a low form of life... Anyway, there is nothing wrong to consider Albanians a low form of life - it depends what one's purpose is. If the purpose is to always keep Kosovo independent from Serbia, then, yes it makes sense to see Albanians as a low form of life because in that case Serbs would never accept to live together with low forms of life. Imagine Vojislav's horror to have low forms of life seating next to him in Serbia's parliament. Not to mention that you might have a heart attack to have a low form of life become Serbia's president or prime minister.

I fully agree with "the truth" about what he said about Albin Kurti. To answer your question investors don't like extreme amounts of risk. It's hard to privatise assets when you have a class of morons that always destabilize our country. Who was responsible for the riots in 2004, 2007, and ongoing? Hint: VV & followers.

No, Thaci has established Kosovo as a mafia state where the his clan can do its drug business without being hindered by the police. Kosovo became Europe's main drug hub under his regime in the last decade.

But of course, he cares for his friends, clan and family and provides them with good jobs in state-owned companies and projects financed by the Kosovo budged (i.e. financed by international donors).

That man you see on the picture is Albin Kurti. He was held in prison throughout the war by serb army with no charges laid on him. He was a young peaceful student in Prishtina when he was put in prison. He was tortured in prison and induced semi-starvation. He was taken from Kosova and transported to Serbia. Later he was released after slobo was brought down!

He know what Serbia and the Serbs are capable of. I hope and pray he becomes our next PM of Kosova. He is a great man who sacrificed to free Kosova.

These talks should not have taken place before Serbia was made to recognise Kosovo formally its independence. Any agreement on shared soverignity over northern Kosovo would mean awating war in the future. Parties will start by blaming each other for not honouring the agreement. Serbs in northern Kosovo should have the same rights to Albanians living in Presevo, Bujanovc and Medvegja. Nothing more nothing less Full Stop!
