EU "won't accept countries with open issues with neighbors"
EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn says 2025 is "a realistic goal for a new wave of (EU) enlargement.)

"There is still much to do," he said.
"It's an indicative and quite possible deadline, if candidates accelerate their path to the European Union. If anyone wants to join the Union in 2025, then they has to complete the (membership) negotiations by 2023," Hahn said.
He pointed out that "the main issue is in the homework for all candidate countries" concerning "how to live with the rule of law," while the second is "the issue of borders."
"We certainly will not accept those countries that have open issues with their neighbors. The conflicts around the borders like Slovenia and Croatia have will no longer exist in the Union. Of course, Serbia must first solve the issue of Kosovo, and then there are the open issues between Serbia and Croatia, Montenegro and Kosovo, Albania and Greece," Hahn said.
The EU official also pointed out that it was important for candidates "to show respect for European values" - and without naming any countries, pointed out that there were those who showed "significant solidarity" around the migrant crisis.
They should immediately suspend Croatia for not abiding by the international court findings in respect of its border with Slovenia. But of course they wont't... Austro-Germany's protection of their Croatian lapdogs is ever preent.

Just because you decide to dispute something, dear, does not make it disputed for everybody!
(icj1, 21 January 2018 03:18)
Well if Kosovo is not disputed then why are you on B92 dear LOL? Trying to convince who? Yourself? LOL
The problem is that you have no knowledge or depth except to repeat inane statements, but according to the US Kosovo is a hot bed of terrorists and the State Department had late last week issued to all American citizens to avoid going to Kosovo and if there to leave.
(sj, 22 January 2018 10:56)
Let me explain the half-joke, not everyone is mighty in Cyrillic.
"деньги" does mean "money", so does "пара".
Amazingly, the Kazakh national currency (Tenge) is of the same origin.
Neither Kazakh nor Russian word is native - it is of Mongolian origin.
So that means, for extensive period of time both Kazakh and Russian people were influenced by Mongolian / Chinese economics.
The same time Serbian word for the same thing is of Turkish origin. Kazakhs are Turkoman people - but THEIR word is Mongolian, not Turkish.
That means, Serbs for extensive period of time had extensive Turkish (economic and political) influence, while Turkish people of Kazakhstan had Mongolian.
This is completely in-line with classic history books... and Fomenko would have a difficulty to address that problem.
The other part of the joke is about cider + mumm versus the wine + ladies.
No matter, how cheap is a wine... IMO it still beats the cider. Of course, the most important person in your life is your mom. But unless your name is Oedipus, you better to look for some other ladies to continue your genetic line ;-)
(Pardon my French..., 22 January 2018 03:06)
The word "Деньги" same as the name of the Kazakh national currency is clearly of Mongolian origin.
On the other side, the Serbian equivalent the people use to say is "Пара" (by co-incident, it used to be 100 Пара = 1 Дин). And it's of Turkish origin.
This somewhat defies Fomenko... because "" and "Para" was adopted one way, not the other.
Of course, it's not the most important thing. But try to survive without "Деньги" or "Пара" and you will feel quite bad.
Sorry to be so material... but as it being said:
If you have one, than "вино и дамы".
If you don't - than "сидро и мама".

1. SERBIA SUFFERED FROM THE OTTOMANS BUT NEVER FROM TURKEY CREATED IN 1918. SERBS RULED THE OTTOMANS BEFORE 1826 WHEN OUR YANISSARIES WERE MASSACRED AND REPLACED BY NORTH CAUCASIANS, OSMANI LANGUAGE HAD ALMOST NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TURKISH INVENTED IN 1923 BY TWO RUSSIAN PROFESSORS.
2. THERE WAS ONLY ONE ROMAN EMPIRE. IT CAPITOL WAS VELIKI NOVGOROD AND AFTER 1613 IN STANBUL = TSARGRAD. VATICAN ROME IS A FAKE STORY. (Staff, 20 January 2018 21:47)
Well, that's according to you and Serbia and you and Serbia are certainly entitled to your opinions. As for me, I'm not aware that "Kosovo is a disputed Serbian province". And according to Kosovo and another 100+ countries in the world, Kosovo is not a disputed Serbian province. And even according to Russia, Kosovo declared independence and the whole world accepted it.

”If that were a domestic problem, the UNSC would not have passed UNSCR 1244 despite Serbia begging the UNSC members to not approve UNSCR 1244 because, according to Serbia, UNSCR 1244 provides for the creation of a

(icj1, 20 January 2018 16:43)”
You are partly right icj1, but you forget one crucial thing. UNSCR 1244 is where it is and will not be changed (”open up possibility”) if the Security Councils permanent 5 member states does not agree. And we all know that they do not.
So, at the end of the day, Kosovo is a disputed Serbian province, whatever I say or you say. Will it change? I do not know, even if I probably know 1000 times more than you about this topic since I work with it every day.
I know one thing. No one alive today will be around to see Kosovo beeing a state of its own.
(Staff, 20 January 2018 21:47)
as far as Serbia is concerned, they have only a domestic problem with their province of Kosovo.

The countries in EU which look good would look good without EU, too.
We live part-time in such a country and we are nearly 100% personally satisfied.
To bad, it is not regarded as Serbia's friend (but under the cover nearly everyone here is a major fan of Russia, some even of Putin - what I do not like).
It has a young and quite sympathetic leader. That narrows to a single country, I think.
The countries in EU which do not look good - would not fare much better or worse without it.
Except, we could not move part-time to a place in EU what we like (much) more, than Hungary. It is not easy to get a residence permit with American or Russian passport. Hungarian comes handy.
That's the *** SINGLE *** benefit of EU - for us.
And that kids can live, study and work where they want there.
Albanians will immediately troll back: "than move back to Russia or US".
Sorry - please convince my wife first. It's my burden to deal with her, not yours!

All countries in the Balkans have some problem, no doubt. But as far as Serbia is concerned, they have only a domestic problem with their province of Kosovo. No border problem. And a domestic problem, well, many countries in the EU have that. Look at Spain for example in Catalonia, i e Barcelona. No big deal. Stay on the track Serbia, stay on the track.

For most Serbs, that's what we are hoping. The accession process will modernise our country while the EU pays for it. We are quite happy withdrawing millions from accession funds indefinitely but hopefully never joining the EU.

First: you should worry about Serbia. I guess you know what this means, recognition. Second: You gave a bad example, I guess you forgot Italy invaded/occupied Albania in 1939. This means Albania can sue Italy for invasion, war damages, etc. Look at what Greeks are doing these days, asking Germany to pay for war damages.

Well if you enjoy Kosova ghetto I’m happy. In 1990 there were 2 million Albos, today more than 500,000 officially do not live there. Personally, I think it less than 1 million. The west loves to hide these things since its not a good look.
What do Albos offer to the EU? Law and Order LOL? Well educated workforce? The EU refuses to recognise anything from Albania or Kosovo universities LOL.
So, what else do you have to offer? Huge number of Albos incarcerated throughout the EU? Yes; Criminal activity? Plenty, more than everyone else put together.
Yes, I can see why they don’t want Serbs LOL.

I maybe dim-witted but by God I get paid a s*** load of money for what I do. The EU tried to isolating Serbia at the start telling it nothing will happen unless they recognise Kosovo so when that failed they began the talks. Every now and then we hear from a politician about recognition, but the talks continue, and they will.
What would the EU do if after all these talks Serbia still said no recognition and good-bye EU? The EU would crap itself. Ask yourself what is more valuable Serbia or Kosovo? The US has already started to sell you guys out just look at the US Ambassador in Pristina statements LOL.
You are living in the 1990s and the US could not isolate the flue let alone Serbia.
“US will isolate any country including Serbia being willfully manipulated by Russia, in order to curry favor from a dictator”
This is right out of some US media site – its 100% pure drivel.

If this is a signal for Serbia to recognize Kosovo then they are going to be sadly disappointed. If the EU is that strong it would have demanded Serbia recognize Kosovo before talks began, but they are not and even in the end when all the talks are finished Serbia will say NO.

The EU itself may not even exist in 2025. Is there really a supurb rule of law in france, germany or belgium? Seema to me they have endangered their citizens and put them second in order to allow muslim invaders into their countries. They really do not have room to preach. They are promoting globalist values. This is the perfect way for classic european and american elites to control entire continents without firing one bullet. Im still unsure why the european union has to exist if not for the very reason of centralizing control to a few elites. Instead of being free to male your own decisions, trade with who you want amd control your own destiny the EU shuts you out unless you do as they say. Does not sound very appealing unless you just cant make any good decisiona on your own.

It must hurt to read the news nowadays for you! lol
(Watcher, 19 January 2018 15:17)
If this is a signal for Serbia to recognize Kosovo then they are going to be sadly disappointed. If the EU is that strong it would have demanded Serbia recognize Kosovo before talks began, but they are not and even in the end when all the talks are finished Serbia will say NO.
(sj, 19 January 2018 11:35)
sj,
What you fail to grasp, my dimwitted little friend, is that the EU has no intention of admitting Serbia as a member of the club. If Serbia can't see this, then she is more naive than I believed. The US will isolate any country including Serbia being willfully manipulated by Russia, in order to curry favor from a dictator. Oh the tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.
(The Count of Kosova, 19 January 2018 12:52)
So, at the end of the day, Kosovo is a disputed Serbian province, whatever I say or you say.
Just because you decide to dispute something, dear, does not make it disputed for everybody!
(icj1, 21 January 2018 03:18)
If you are interested I can post for you the latest financial and military information on the US and you will see why I always say the United States of Piss and Wind.
(sj, 19 January 2018 13:43)
(sj, 19 January 2018 13:53)
Bad news for Albanians who have open issues with all their neighbors, including Italy. I really don't know why Albanians here are cheering.
(Navi, 19 January 2018 15:42)
First: you should worry about Serbia. I guess you know what this means, recognition. Second: You gave a bad example, I guess you forgot Italy invaded/occupied Albania in 1939. This means Albania can sue Italy for invasion, war damages, etc. Look at what Greeks are doing these days, asking Germany to pay for war damages.
(Avni, 19 January 2018 21:37)
The EU are hypocrites - they accepted Croatia despite its issues with Slovenia and Serbia, and even some with BiH.
(ida, 20 January 2018 04:45)
That's does not mean being a hypocrite; that means learning from past mistakes and making changes accordingly for the future to not repeat those mistakes, again. That's how countries progress, but I understand that that concept might be alien to you :)
(icj1, 20 January 2018 16:34)
All countries in the Balkans have some problem, no doubt. But as far as Serbia is concerned, they have only a domestic problem with their province of Kosovo. No border problem. And a domestic problem, well, many countries in the EU have that. Look at Spain for example in Catalonia, i e Barcelona. No big deal. Stay on the track Serbia, stay on the track.
(Staff, 20 January 2018 10:08)
as far as Serbia is concerned, they have only a domestic problem with their province of Kosovo.
(Staff, 20 January 2018 10:08)
If that were a domestic problem, the UNSC would not have passed UNSCR 1244 despite Serbia begging the UNSC members to not approve UNSCR 1244 because, according to Serbia, UNSCR 1244 provides for the creation of a
separate political and economic system in the province and opens up the possibility of the secession of Kosovo and Metohija from Serbia and the FRY.
(icj1, 20 January 2018 16:43)

For most Serbs, that's what we are hoping. The accession process will modernise our country while the EU pays for it. We are quite happy withdrawing millions from accession funds indefinitely but hopefully never joining the EU.

Serbia suffered more than enough in Turkey federation and Yugoslavian federation. Previously Moesia suffered in Roman empire federation so much that even doesn't exist anymore. Therefore Serbia does not need any federation anymore. Period.

CHURCH SERBIAN CALLED SLOVENSKI WAS OFFICIAL IN TOP KAPI SARAY AND IN THE HIGH COURT OF CONSTANTINOPLE. BEFORE 17 CENTURY THE OSMANS WERE ALL ORTHODOX CHRISTIANS. EVERYONE TO HURT A CHURCH WOULD DIE EVEN IN 18-19 CNTURIES.
3. SPLITTING AWAY FROM THE OTTOMANS WAS A BIG MISTAKE OF ALL BALKAN PEOPLES. THE FILM BELOW I WATCH AS HISTORY OF MEDIAEVAL RUS.
They should immediately suspend Croatia for not abiding by the international court findings in respect of its border with Slovenia. But of course they wont't... Austro-Germany's protection of their Croatian lapdogs is ever preent.

Very well said
this should be the agenda of all Balkan States after all the rest of the EU have been sponging of the 4 major economy's for decades

(Фоменко, 22 January 2018 02:42)
