No of course they matter. The difference is Croat Ustashe directly ran those camps whereas Germans ran concentration camps in Serbia. See, after Serbs said no to Hitler's pact, Germany bombed Belgrade and carved up Yugoslavia. While they left most of that land for the Croats and Italians to run directly, they knew that nothing short of direct German military occupation would suffice in Serbia proper. The biggest victims in each of those camps were Serbs. This is because the Germans ran those camps. They bombed Belgrade, gave most of Yugoslavia to the Croats and ran Serbia directly setting up those camps. They wiped out all the Jews in Serbia. Israeli PM Netanyahu and outgoing Israeli ambassador to Serbia know this which is why they said that Serbia is one of the few countries in the region which have truly nothing to feel ashamed about when it comes to WWII.

Nedic was a collaborator. But there were Jewish collaborators too. You can't judge an entire nation because of one guy. There were Serbian collaborators with the Turks, Austro-Hungarians, hell even in the 90s. A man named Jovan Divjak was a Serbian collaborator for the Bosnian Army. Your attempt at relativizing history is basically the only thing you can do at this point. Still, you cannot even begin to argue that anything approaching Nazi collaboration from Serbs or Albanians remotely equals that of the NDH. I never said Serbs were completely innocent of atrocities but to insinuate Croats were not the only ones who ran death camps on their own is factually wrong. The NDH stands above all others for its brutality and Croatia stands above all others in its subtle attempts at rehabilitating as much of that era as possible and then gets upset when someone calls them out for it. Well, it was actually the Nuremberg trials which determined that NDH was run by the Germans (like Serbia was) and that the NDH's government was a puppet one (like Nedic's government was) and that it was the Nazis that brought Pavelic from Italy and put him in power in the NDH (like they did with Nedic). The Nuremberg trials also determined that the Croat population supporting Pavelic was not more than 5%. That is the factual evidence determined by the Nuremberg trial beyond reasonable doubt.

Fascist scum in Croatia never got over their sickness. Because while they lost the war, Tito never truly made them repent and come to terms with what they did. He viewed the Chetniks as a greater threat and so spent all of his time equating them and anyone who was an anti-communist with the Ustasha so that he can squash all his enemies at once. He never visited Jasenovac, he never made it a priority for Yugoslav children to learn about the 20+ concentration camps that the Ustashe ran, all he did was sweep their crimes under the rug. And the Ustashe still hate him btw, but that's exactly why you see this level of Nazi savagery in Croatia today.

The Japanese and the Germans to a great extent began to regret what they did in WWII, and went through decades of rehabilitation because of it. The Croatian fascists never went through the same process. They hate everyone. Serbs, Jews and especially Croatian anti-fascists. The biggest victims in each of those camps were Serbs. This is because the Germans ran those camps. They bombed Belgrade, gave most of Yugoslavia to the Croats and ran Serbia directly setting up those camps. They wiped out all the Jews in Serbia. Israeli PM Netanyahu and outgoing Israeli ambassador to Serbia know this which is why they said that Serbia is one of the few countries in the region which have truly nothing to feel ashamed about when it comes to WWII.

Nedic was a collaborator. But there were Jewish collaborators too. You can't judge an entire nation because of one guy. There were Serbian collaborators with the Turks, Austro-Hungarians, hell even in the 90s. A man named Jovan Divjak was a Serbian collaborator for the Bosnian Army. You judge a nation based on what they contributed to the resistance. And Serbs organized not one, but two resistance groups. The streets of Zagreb were packed with people welcoming German 'liberation', whereas Belgrade viewed it as an occupation. 99% of Serbs said no to Hitler. Which is not the case for the rest of the region, hell even the rest of Europe.

No of course they matter. The difference is Croat Ustashe directly ran those camps whereas Germans ran concentration camps in Serbia. See, after Serbs said no to Hitler's pact, Germany bombed Belgrade and carved up Yugoslavia. While they left most of that land for the Croats and Italians to run directly, they knew that nothing short of direct German military occupation would suffice in Serbia proper. And while they ran concentration camps in Serbia and butchered tens of thousands of Serbs and Jews, Croats butchered over 700,000 Serbs, Jews, Roma and anti-fascist Croats in just Jasenovac alone. So yes we should learn about all the camps, but Jasenovac, Jadovno (40,000), Stara Gradiska (18,000) and 20 more were the locations were the most sadistic.

SS Skanderbeg about 7000 Members (not to forget Family and Friends supporting them)
Multinational Partisans founded by Tito approx. 1000 Members (not to forget Family and Friends supporting them)

Killed jews in Croatia approx. 31`000
Killed jews in Serbia approx. 14`000
Killed jews in Albania approx. 600

Well, it was actually the Nuremberg trials which determined that NDH was run by the Germans (like Serbia was) and that the NDH's government was a puppet one (like Nedic's government was) and that it was the Nazis that brought Pavelic from Italy and put him in power in the NDH (like they did with Nedic). The Nuremberg trials also determined that the Croat population supporting Pavelic was not more than 5%. That is the factual evidence determined by the Nuremberg trial beyond reasonable doubt.

So, the "phenomena" you are talking about was "home grown" in Croatia as much as it was in Serbia.

Your attempt at relativizing history is basically the only thing you can do at this point. Still, you cannot even begin to argue that anything approaching Nazi collaboration from Serbs or Albanians remotely equals that of the NDH. I never said Serbs were completely innocent of atrocities but to insinuate Croats were not the only ones who ran death camps on their own is factually wrong. The NDH stands above all others for its brutality and Croatia stands above all others in its subtle attempts at rehabilitating as much of that era as possible and then gets upset when someone calls them out for it. That's not national posturing. That's a fact.

And for the record, if you're going to relativize conflict based on the premise that all sides have skeletons in their closet, then all arguments you have for being the victim in the 1990s goes out the window. Because after all, Croats, Albanians, and Bosnians along with Serbs committed horrible atrocities against each other and to put all the blame on Serbs is just as hypocritical.
