Serbia cannot give up on Gazivoda, Trepca and Brezovica. The KLA is going to try to move in on these things next, and after the Trepca failure they have set their sights on Gazivoda. Serbia can't relent on this, it's not theirs. They did not invest in it. Serbia indebted itself financially to build most things you see in Kosovo-Metohija. There is documented proof on this, there are international property rights. The Albanians have stolen a lot, but these remaining things they cannot be allowed to steal and only Serbia can give them that opportunity.

Since you are totally ignorant on Kosovo affairs, let me enlighten you that Isa Mustafa is Prime Minister of Kosovo.
He does not come from PDK( which was created by KLA) but from LDK, the Democratic League of Kosovo which was founded from late president Ibrahim (Peter, because he was converted to catholic in 2002) Rugova.

Have you not been keeping up with what's been going on? Trepca, the portion that is south of the Mitrovica bridge has been stolen a long time ago. But now the KLA want to steal the northern portion of Trepca which is more lucrative. Also, Brezovica ski center in Strpce has been the target of the KLA in the south, trying to privatize it to some French company. Unsuccessfully, it can only happen if Serbia capitulates. Gazivoda is 70% in Kosovo-Metohija and 30% in central Serbia. But 50% of what is in Kosovo-Metohija runs through the northern, free part that is out of KLA control. They have been trying to steal that too.

Serbia built almost everything you see in Kosovo-Metohija but the mosques. Much has been stolen, but these three properties must be defended at all costs.

The statement also said that on the sidelines of the negotiating round today an agreement on mutual recognition of car insurance was signed, and that it was achieved with the support of the Council of Green Card Bureau.

I started reading the said news article and whatever Vucic was saying, I was believing him but when I reached the above paragraph, I knew Vucic is full of s..t.
"mutual recognition of car insurance was signed", this is done between two countries and not within your own country!!! Anybody from Serb side can explain this phenomena?

I remember the former PM's saying that in 20 years time they could have a referendum to decide on the fate of Kosovo/a (same time when Montenegro was having their referendum on splitting away from Yugoslavia). It seems that over 10 years have passed. And each day you see more of Kosovo/a being recognized or being admitted into international organs.
This negotiation process is a stepping stone of easing the transition to normality. And that normality is what is currently present on the ground.
I think the people that most invested in Kosovo/a and Macedonia were Slovenia and Croatia. Read the economic funding process of the 70's and 80's and you'll see where the funds came from. The third republic would have been Serbia and decisions were made in Belgrade on distribution.
My concern is that during the communist era, not all funds reached their destination point as a lot of communists were corrupt and projects were never built with the funds allocated to the projects. So where did the money go? Hmmmm Serbs controlled a lot so who got rich off the sweat of Slovenians, Croats, and Serbs?

These negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia are good for both countries. I think the faster they come to a conclusion (signed agreements) the better because rules will be in place and everyone will mind their own business.

From my (realistic) point of view as an Albanian, I don't want Serbia to have any political influence on Kosovo at all after full normalization. Serbia may see Kosovo as 4th world country (there is no such thing) or see it as part of itself (only in her heart), but as long as Serbia respects Kosovo as a country, everything will be good.

I don't know what Serbian's (realistic) point of view is exactly, but problably our realistic point of views are not very close.

I believe that using the Northern Kosovo Serbs and Presevo Valley Albanians as a start to make all Albanians and Serbs in Balkans start seeing each other as becoming slowly friends, will make future agreements easier. All I am trying to say is make small agreements and promote friendship in the same time. Then any agreement will not look bad, because Albanians and Serbs will say "Eh, it's OK, they are our friends".

Only Serbia can give this stuff up. Serbia has given up a lot as Demi says. Let's hope he's not right and Vucic's gov't will capitulate on everything. Most excellent statement, it matters not who came first to a land nor who lived on it 1000, 10,000 years we are not isolated clans, this is the 21st century and we are a global world and global economy. Issues are not based on ethnic makeup today, outside of the Balkans and the middle east.
I am from the US and my ancestors mainly came from Scotland and Austria, but I have no desires to claim those lands nor place any importance on the matter other than maybe conversation topics.
What matters today is what the people on the land make of it. Ethnic cleansing should not be tolerated in todays world whether it be Serbs against Albanians, or Albanians against Serbs or Jews against Palestinians, etc, etc.

There are a lot of evils from generations past but they should not cloud the present.

Sure, I'd be glad to once again help you figure it out. See, car insurance isn't state-run in all cases. There are various insurance companies that operate in various countries because they have business licences to operate there. But that doesn't mean they're official state institutions. So the mutual recognition of car insurances simply means the Serbia and the territory of Kosovo agree to recognize the different insurance carriers that exist so when someone is pulled over, the police know the car is properly insured with an official carrier instead of some phantom company.

I hope this now makes sense to you. You really seemed confused, as you usually do, in your comment and I'm glad I was able to help.

I think that is the point RighteousNilly! Serbs should never forget that just because there is a weaker people they are not able to do with them as they wish without regard to human life and dignity. There is always a bigger force watching over you and you will suffer the consequences.
A sign should be erected on the Kosovo border saying Kosovo WAS a part of Serbia and now it should be forever be a reminder that it was lost due to the atrocious abuse it cast on the Kosovo people.

Nothing will be done by force but by dialoug and investments of the local population and diaspora. Serbs cannot live with us and we cannot live with them. When we start buying in northern Kosova serbs will slowly move to their own kind in Serbia. Your birthrate is low and with time most of south Serbia will be populated by Albanians. I have information that some Albanians already have started buying property and apartaments in Nis for example.

Secondly all investments done in Kosova have been done by Kosovar taxpayers from Kosova. Serbia have not done anything but destroy Kosova and its citizens.

But your leadership already know this and are giving up on everything in Kosova piece by piece in this so called dialoug. And its doing it this way to save some face and to fool you natonalist serbs.

When the time comes for Serbia to recognize Kosova people like you Ari will not know what happend.

These negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia are good for both countries. I think the faster they come to a conclusion (signed agreements) the better because rules will be in place and everyone will mind their own business.

From my (realistic) point of view as an Albanian, I don't want Serbia to have any political influence on Kosovo at all after full normalization. Serbia may see Kosovo as 4th world country (there is no such thing) or see it as part of itself (only in her heart), but as long as Serbia respects Kosovo as a country, everything will be good.

I don't know what Serbian's (realistic) point of view is exactly, but problably our realistic point of views are not very close.

I believe that using the Northern Kosovo Serbs and Presevo Valley Albanians as a start to make all Albanians and Serbs in Balkans start seeing each other as becoming slowly friends, will make future agreements easier. All I am trying to say is make small agreements and promote friendship in the same time. Then any agreement will not look bad, because Albanians and Serbs will say "Eh, it's OK, they are our friends".

Sorry serbia but your GAME IS OVER. History proves that SLAVS never existed in Europe before the SLAV MIGRATION which every 5th grader in Europe learns of in history class. Everybody knows that you NON EUROPEAN SLAVS migrated into Europe in the 7th century and stole lands from the Albanian Illyrians. Not the other way around. If u don't hate the Albanians stop trying to steal their lands.

I remember the former PM's saying that in 20 years time they could have a referendum to decide on the fate of Kosovo/a (same time when Montenegro was having their referendum on splitting away from Yugoslavia). It seems that over 10 years have passed. And each day you see more of Kosovo/a being recognized or being admitted into international organs.
This negotiation process is a stepping stone of easing the transition to normality. And that normality is what is currently present on the ground.
I think the people that most invested in Kosovo/a and Macedonia were Slovenia and Croatia. Read the economic funding process of the 70's and 80's and you'll see where the funds came from. The third republic would have been Serbia and decisions were made in Belgrade on distribution.
My concern is that during the communist era, not all funds reached their destination point as a lot of communists were corrupt and projects were never built with the funds allocated to the projects. So where did the money go? Hmmmm Serbs controlled a lot so who got rich off the sweat of Slovenians, Croats, and Serbs?

The statement also said that on the sidelines of the negotiating round today an agreement on mutual recognition of car insurance was signed, and that it was achieved with the support of the Council of Green Card Bureau.

I started reading the said news article and whatever Vucic was saying, I was believing him but when I reached the above paragraph, I knew Vucic is full of s..t.
"mutual recognition of car insurance was signed", this is done between two countries and not within your own country!!! Anybody from Serb side can explain this phenomena?

Second, Albanians will never forget Kosova either. The sooner you get that, the better. What you accept or not is totally up to you. It's your choice. Meanwhile we move on.

Third, when we all lived in Serbia you as a Serb lived in peace while we as Albanians lived in an apartheid society where the Serbs had all the nice, important jobs, while we had nothing. Of course you like that arrangement. What colionalist power didn't like ruling over the majority. In that sense Serbia was no different than any of the other colionalist power. I fully understand why you are so but.t.hurt. It's never easy to accept falling from absolute power. However it is this exact attitude you have know that brought your downfall. Keep it going though, irrational Serbs are our best allies.

Most excellent statement, it matters not who came first to a land nor who lived on it 1000, 10,000 years we are not isolated clans, this is the 21st century and we are a global world and global economy. Issues are not based on ethnic makeup today, outside of the Balkans and the middle east.
I am from the US and my ancestors mainly came from Scotland and Austria, but I have no desires to claim those lands nor place any importance on the matter other than maybe conversation topics.
What matters today is what the people on the land make of it. Ethnic cleansing should not be tolerated in todays world whether it be Serbs against Albanians, or Albanians against Serbs or Jews against Palestinians, etc, etc.

There are a lot of evils from generations past but they should not cloud the present.

Of course and nobody is asking the people of Serbia to forget anything. I'm sure that for every person in Serbia, like the rest of the people in the world, there are things which have left an impression on him/her and he/she will never forget them.

I, for example, can never forget the Oktoberfest in Munich from when I was there a couple of years ago. Even if you repeat ad nauseam that I should forget it, I won't. Therefore I plan to visit Munich again since it's not that far away :)

I think that is the point RighteousNilly! Serbs should never forget that just because there is a weaker people they are not able to do with them as they wish without regard to human life and dignity. There is always a bigger force watching over you and you will suffer the consequences.
A sign should be erected on the Kosovo border saying Kosovo WAS a part of Serbia and now it should be forever be a reminder that it was lost due to the atrocious abuse it cast on the Kosovo people.
