Japanese ambassador: Bosnia's politicians are corrupt caste

It desperately needed saying, but regrettably this will fall on the deaf ears that enjoy privilege whilst the masses carry on in total exasperation. Bosnia is predominantly populated by right-minded people and a very beautiful country, made ugly by these miserable freeloaders on all three sides who dragged the country into civil war. They are, as the Japanese Ambassador says, a total disgrace.

It is so WONDERFUL to finally have a politician call it like it is instead of picking and coddling sides here. While the US/EU are too busy playing politics and coddling one side while blasting the other, the Japanese ambassador has hit the nail on the head. We should be ashamed in the Balkans, all of the Balkan ethnicities are too busy with the finger pointing and shaming of each other. I can't recall the last time I read a statement that was put better than this. It's not just Bosnia either, but every single former Yugoslav Republic, as well as the outside interference of the US/EU that actually encourages this garbage.

My impossible dream is that one day all of the people in the Balkans will wake up to the political manipulation of the US/EU and realize they have to look out for themselves and their interests, and that starts with all groups being as one. You have and must maintain your ethnicity and culture, but everyone should be as one when it comes to building a life. When that happens, life and standards will improve.

I was visiting Bosnia last week and the corruption is terrible. Whats worse is that the people put up with it without question. For example my grandparents have not had their pensions paid since April. The government told them it was because of the floods but the floods were not until May. Also my aunt who has a special needs daughter and cant work has also not been paid. I also saw the police escort an envoy of politicians in their BMWs into the town. It was a parade of nice cars and fat men in shiny suits doing nothing. All the while the people cant even buy bread. Its terrible there and even more terrible that the citizens put up with it. The will of the average Bosnian citizen has been crushed along with their hope for the future.

And Vucic wants to give these people 1million euro or more to help with flooding.
The first thing they will do is spend some money on luxury cars to tour the flooded areas, then they will hire their relations as consultants on huge salaries to decide what to do with the money. Maybe there will be enough money left for a few pieces of bread for those who really need it

I take my hat off to the Japanese ambassador for Bosnia-Herz for being not only honest but also firm with what I and many others think and witness when I unfortunately have to visit this miserable, backward country. It has a culture where people from local government to the presidency are extremely arrogant, greedy and corrupt with the funds they are supposedly sharing with the country's citizens. The country's politicians keep using the war in the 90's as an excuse for the country not progressing, but as the Japanese ambassador mentions, the money/donations end up in someone's pocket or bank account. I would also like to mention that the current president of Bosnia, Bakir Izetbegovic, only cares about the Muslim population in Bosnia whilst neglecting the welfare of the country's Croat and Serb population. He also is more concerned about relations with other Islamic nations whilst the West pretends that they don't notice this biased behaviour. I would personally wish that Bosnia secedes into 3 autonomous regions so that 'all' ethnicities get a slice of the pie. Maybe then there might be light at the end of the tunnel for this dark place.

You may recall that "all groups being as one" was tried before. i.e. Yugoslavia. That didn't work out very well, (did it?), when one "group" attempted to dominate and manipulate the others. I doubt very much the other groups who were dominated would be at all interested in trying that failed experiment again. Which "group" are you from?
