As victors against tyranny in both world war's, Serbia and Russia have much in common. There are also genuine cultural, religious and emotional bonds between the two nations going back centuries, having also suffered terribly in the struggle against fascism. I'm afraid the only relationship between the United States and the Albanians and Croats, is one of master and servant with no such historical and emotional bonds.
