Šešelj allowed visit from his doctors

The Hague Tribunal has issued a visit permit for a team of Serbian doctors chosen by Serb Radical Party (SRS) leader Vojislav Seselj. This is according to Serbian government's Office for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal Head Dusan Ignjatovic. Ignjatovic recalled that the government had offered medical examinations by Serbian doctors to Seselj on several occasions but that he had refused. “Competent bodies did not participate in the drafting of the list of doctors but if such a request is filed, Serbia is willing to pay the travel expenses for Seselj's team,” he added. Ignjatovic expects that the arrival of the team of doctors, as well as the Tribunal's decision to engage a Russian doctor who should examine Seselj, will be steps in the right direction in order to determine what is really going on with his health.
