A MUP policeman and two robbery suspect have been wounded in a shootout close to a gas station on the Belgrade-Novi Sad highway. A Serbian police (MUP) source told Beta news agency today that the officers where in pursuit of a group of robbers from Zrenjanin, in Vojvodina, when the exchange of fire took place. Police officer wounded in highway shootout The policeman is said to have sustained serious wounds to his chest, but his condition is now stable. The two armed robbers were lightly injured. MUP officers have in the meantime arrested four suspects involved in the robbery of the jewelry store in Zrenjanin and the shootout.
