Taci: Brussels agreement will be implemented

Taci stated that visible progress has been made in certain areas, but there are also some delays. Still, he expressed the belief that the situation would improve in the next few weeks. He noted that the municipal elections on November 3 are a good chance for northern Kosovo Serbs to get integrated into the Kosovo society. Serbian officials notified Brussels, the U.S. and OSCE that Pristina is trying to impose Kosovo's statehood in the implementation of the agreement reached on April 19, despite the accepted principle according to which all solutions need to be status neutral. Contrary to the agreement, Pristina printed the ballots with the logo of the Republic of Kosovo and set the condition according to which only citizens with Kosovo ID cards can vote in the elections. This violates the voting rights of the banished and displaced Kosovo-born Serbs who are currently living outside the province.
