London pushes for 2006 status solution
After a meeting with Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiju, the British diplomats said that they fully support the efforts being made by the UN’s Special Envoy for the Kosovo talks, Martti Ahtisaari.“The United Kingdom supports the fastest possible finalization of the process of finding a solution for Kosovo’s final status during this year.” Blunt said, adding that Kosovo officials must continue implementing standards.
Sejdiju said that he also supports solving the status crisis by the end of the year, adding that the institutions and people of Kosovo have put in a lot of effort to reach this goal.
The British diplomats also met with Kosovo Parliamentary Speaker Kolja Beriša and officials of the ORA reformist party.
