Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic says his country is ready to join Germany and other European countries in a relentless fight against terrorism.

Serbia "ready to join in relentless fight against terror"

He was speaking in Berlin, where he and his German counterpart Thomas de Maiziere signed a police cooperation agreement.

The Interior Ministry (MUP) website quoted Stefanovic as saying that the terrorist attack in Brussels on Tuesday represented "yet another confirmation that we need to fight harder against terrorism, and to exchange information to be more efficient in the process."

Commenting on the agreement that he signed, Stefanovic said it was "a document far beyond an administrative routine, as it offered tangible opportunities for cooperation in the struggle against drug trade, arms smuggling, organized crime and human trafficking."
