NOVI SAD Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) Novi Sad Board decided late on Friday to leave the current ruling coalition in the city assembly, B92 has learnt. The SPO will support the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in the forming of the new majority. Progressives to form new ruling coalition in Novi Sad A memorandum on joint political action in the Novi Sad Assembly was signed on Saturday and the current ruling parties therefore lost the majority, said SNS Novi Sad Board President Milos Vucevic. The new coalition will be led by the SNS which has 15 councilors. Councilors of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Roma Democratic Party and Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) will also be a part of the new majority. The coalition will also be supported by five councilors of Dveri, who have been expelled from the party in the meantime, three SPO councilors and one councilor of the None of the Above, who has also been expelled from the party. 15 councilors of the Democratic Party (DS), 12 councilors of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV), five councilors of the Serb Radical Party (SRS) and one councilor of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians will be in the opposition.
