The Student Initiative for Independent Kosovo says it will start a "peaceful march" in Pristina on December 10. The date is set as the deadline for the Contact Group Troika to submit a report to the UN secretary general, on the ongoing Kosovo status talks. Pristina students in protest on Dec. 10 The students say they will demand from the Kosovo assembly to declare independence, and pointed out that the protest will last "as long as the assembly does not take the decision," Pristina electronic media reported Wednesday. Representatives of 17 organizations at the university in Pristina, who follow lectures in the Albanian language, have said that they do not belong to neither of the two organizations that have announced protests on the same day. Student Initiative representative Adrijan Barjaktari called on Kosovo citizens to join the demonstrations, pointing out that it will be a "peaceful protest" and that the organizers "distance themselves from any acts of violence."
