Serbian police (MUP) officers have arrested three persons on suspicion that they had committed numerous kidnappings and extortions.

Serbian police (MUP) officers have arrested three persons on suspicion that they had committed numerous kidnappings and extortions. MUP identified the suspects, believed to have gained some EUR 300,000 through their criminal activity, as Nenad Pejovic, 38, Vuk Mitic, 23, and Aleksandar Cabarkapa, 28. Police bust group of kidnappers As they searched the suspects' apartments, police officers also found three pistols and more than 300 pieces of ammunition, one gas pistol and forged personal documents, a MUP statement said on Saturday. Several passenger vehicles were also seized, believed to have been acquired through illegal activity.
