A Kosovo Serb was wounded on Monday in a fight in Suvi Do when a group of ethnic Albanians clashed with Serbs. This came after a several-month long dispute caused by the construction of a water-pipeline in that village near the divided town of Kosovska Mitrovica. K. Mitrovica: Serb injured in new fight Commander of the police station in northern Kosovska Mitrovica Milija Milosevic told Tanjug that one Serb, whose identity he did not disclose, had been injured a little after 01:00CET. Milosevic confirmed that after the fight, shots were heard coming from the direction of the houses inhabited by Albanians, and added that police arrested one ethnic Albanian. “The arrested person is a Kosovo Albanian, an excavator driver, who was working on the site,” he said, adding that strong forces of the Kosovo Police Service, KPS, UNMIK police and KFOR had arrived on the scene. The Serbs in Suvi Do oppose the building of the water pipeline network, which is designed to run through their farms.

K. Mitrovica: Serb injured in new fight

Commander of the police station in northern Kosovska Mitrovica Milija Milošević told Tanjug that one Serb, whose identity he did not disclose, had been injured a little after 01:00CET.

Milošević confirmed that after the fight, shots were heard coming from the direction of the houses inhabited by Albanians, and added that police arrested one ethnic Albanian.

“The arrested person is a Kosovo Albanian, an excavator driver, who was working on the site,” he said, adding that strong forces of the Kosovo Police Service, KPS, UNMIK police and KFOR had arrived on the scene.

The Serbs in Suvi Do oppose the building of the water pipeline network, which is designed to run through their farms.
