BELGRADE Serbian police arrested 14 persons suspected of incurring damages worth more than EUR 2mn to the state budget on Wednesday. Customs officers and owners of trucking companies and other firms are among the arrested persons. 14 persons arrested for incurring damages worth EU 2mn The arrests were made on the order of the Organized Crime Prosecution. The arrested persons are suspected of importing 94 containers of clothes from China in 2014. The goods arrived to the Croatian port of Rijeka and were then transported to Serbia by trucks, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) has reported. In order to pay lower customs duty and taxes, the perpetrators submitted false documents stating they were importing tiles, fruit and furniture. B92 RTS

The arrests were made on the order of the Organized Crime Prosecution.

The arrested persons are suspected of importing 94 containers of clothes from China in 2014. The goods arrived to the Croatian port of Rijeka and were then transported to Serbia by trucks, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) has reported.
