At least the government is now going after the corrupt and catching them. Under Djindjic and Tadic they were running free - there was little or no interest in actively stopping them.

Is there one element of government services in Serbia that is not corrupt? From the politicians themselves, to the lowly customs agent, there is some form of criminal activity. I really have a tough time seeing Serbia being cleaned up, as corruption is in the very fabric of society. It is quite sad and depressing for the honest citizen.
