World premiere of new Fiat car in Geneva He told journalists that his first impressions were "overwhelming" and stressed that with this car, Serbia had become a “new old car manufacturer". “This car will be sold both in Europe and in the United States. The (Serbian) citizens can now have more trust in their government. This is, above all, an achievement by Serbian citizens,” Tadic said. He pointed out that the Fiat 500L production would mean "EUR 1.5 billion growth in GDP and exports". The exports and GDP growth, he said, will improve the financial rating and stability of the country. “If we could have 10 such investments, Serbia would be a completely different country and this is why we will carry on in that direction. We will meet with other reputable car manufacturers in Geneva today as well,” Tadic said. He added that that talks between representatives of Serbia and car part makers from South Korea, Japan, Italy and Germany were underway. Tadic said that he had met with Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne and the talks had touched on global recession issues. The two agreed that for the employees at Fiat the best way to keep their jobs is through quality work, just like elsewhere in the world. other photos from Geneva preview days Boris Tadic (Tanjug) Tanjug
