OK. that's for the States.

The wording much less optimistic than on B92. The American Fiat 500L models will be of course bigger and better than the same for Europe, but don't think it will help, it is hopelessly underpowered for the American (and my) taste. Selling underpowered cars probably unsafe at any speed won't help you much, Boris.
I want to see NHTSA safety tests of 500L.
And indeed, that car needs 160 hp in order to be accepted in the States because the ramps all over the country are very short.
The competition is very strong, just look at www.edmunds.com. The current pricing for the 2012 FIAT 500 Lounge model (the one which has automatic transmission - Americans can't drive manual) is horrible. Dealer invoice = $18710, MSRP = $19500, even with presumably 3% factory-to-dealer kickback there is zero room to negotiate the price, zero incentive for dealer to sell the car and in that price range ( $17000 - $20000 ) you can get well-equipped Honda Civic, Honda FIT (Jazz in Europe), Toyota Corolla, Toyota Matrix and many more.
Ask yourself, Tadic: would you buy a Honda Fit / Honda Jazz for the same price or that FIAT 500L?
Probably neither, your car is Audi/Merc but just for the moment imagine you are a sucker like me who has to live from little and many hungry kids at home.
