A 6.7 magnitude earthquake that hit the vicinity of tourist resorts in Greece and Turkey has resulted in the deaths of two people and injury of at least 170.

Mediterranean earthquake kills 2, injures 170 people

Reuters is reporting that two people died on the island of Kos, where about 100 were injured. 70 more were taken to the hospital across the water, in Turkey's Bodrum.

According to reports, a minor tsunami was also caused by the quake. Photographs posted on social networks showed the resulting flooding in some areas.

Earlier this morning, news agencies said that the earthquake also affected the Turkish resort of Marmaris.
