German Chancellor Angela Merkel had trouble finding the capital city of her nation on a map during a visit to a school, said reports. Moreover, after some effort, Merkel "managed to locate Berlin in Russia", writes Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti. The visit went downhill when students asked the chancellor to locate her hometown of Hamburg on a map, and Merkel decided it would be a good idea to try to use Berlin as a starting point. But the city proved to be "elusive" to the point when she started wondering "where it could be". "It should be here, or here... and what is here" mused Merkel, finally pointing to Russia on the map. When a geography teacher who was in the classroom noted that it was Russia, the chancellor responded: "What? Russia so close? And Berlin should be here?"
