He said that his son and his friends went to the summer house on Wednesday night to make barbecue. It is presumed that they died of carbon monoxide poisoning. However, the father who discovered the bodies says he doubts that his son and his friends died of carbon monoxide poisoning. He told B92 that he had last heard from his son around 19:00 CET on Wednesday and that nobody had answered the phone afterward. The man explained that two of the victims were lying on the bed while the other two were at the table. He said that two of the youth had white foam around their mouths and that he therefore doubted that they had died of carbon monoxide poisoning. The police are still investigating the scene and the bodies have been transferred to the Cuprija hospital. Officials say they will not make any statements until autopsy is performed. Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said that first indications showed that the four young men had died of carbon monoxide when they used the barbecue grill indoors. He said that the investigation was underway but that there was no evidence of foul play. “We have to be careful because there are many family tragedies, murders and suicides in families which is a trend that often comes from the West,” Dacic stressed.
