World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic has won the Australian Open title for the second time in a row and for the third time in his career. He beat Spain’s Rafael Nadal 5:7, 6:4, 6:2, 6:7 (5:7), 7:5 after five hours and 53 minutes on Sunday. Shortly after the news from Australia about Đoković's new success, the country's national water polo beat Montenegro's squad 9-8 (1-1, 2-3, 3-1, 3-3) in the final of the European Championship.

This is the second European title for Serbia's water polo since the breakup of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro in 2006.
