Albanian Flag Day celebrated in south

The Presevo municipality in southeastern Serbia is flying the Albanian flag on Saturday in celebration of the Albanian Flag Day holiday. The flag was put up on Saturday morning next to the Serbian flag on the municipal building. Albanian Flag Day celebrated in south The local assembly meeting began with the playing of the Albanian national anthem and a minute of silence for all Albanian freedom fighters that lost their lives. The assembly meeting was opened by Municipal President Skender Destani, who said that “there are many problems that are still troubling the Albanians of the Presevo Valley.” There is no noticeable increase in police presence on the streets of Presevo for the holiday. There was also no gatherings in front of the municipal building like last year, and the Albanian flag was also raised in front of the assembly buildings of several small villages of the Presevo municipality.
