The most popular Serb radio and TV stations in Kosovo are Kontakt Plus from Kosovska Mitrovica and TV Most from Zvecan respectively, a poll shows. Helen Harrison, a media consultant working for USAID and the IREX organization, told a press conference that the results of the Strategic Plus poll showed that altogether 44,700 members of the Serb community (48 percent) listened to the radio. USAID conducts media survey in Kosovo “Over 15,000 people per week listen to Radio Kontakt Plus, which makes up over 11 percent of the population. On average, people listen to Kontakt Plus for 23 minutes each day, and in terms of total share of the market, they cover 20.6 percent. Over 20,000 viewers watch TV Most, which is 38 percent of the population,“ said Harrison. “TV Most is watched by 18.5 percent of people daily for an average of 27 minutes, which makes up about 5.1 percent of the total television market, which is almost the same as TV B92, and is an excellent result for a local television station that is competing on the market with channels that have national coverage,“ Harrison said. Branislav Krstic from USAID-IREX said that the organization was conducting a three-year project of support to minority media in Kosovo, the bulk of which was focused on four TV stations (TV Most, TV Herc, TV Puls and TV Mir), and five radio stations (Kontakt Plus, KIM radio, Radio Gorazdevac, Radio Klokot and Radio Borzani).
