Croatia’s PM Jadranka Kosor says her government supports German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s stance that Serbia must shut down its parallel structures in Kosovo.

Croatia’s PM Jadranka Kosor says her government supports German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s stance that Serbia must shut down its parallel structures in Kosovo. She added that Serbia could not get the EU candidate status unless it resolved certain problems regarding Kosovo. Croatian govt. “supports Merkel’s stance” After a meeting with her Kosovo counterpart Hashim Thaci in Pristina and signing of several bilateral agreements on European integration and road transportation, Kosor said that Merkel’s positions had been harmonized during her visit to Zagreb two days earlier. The Croatian PM said that she supported the continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and that she was pleased to see that the Kosovo government was ready for the process. Kosor and Thaci told reporters that they would deepen their cooperation in economy and other areas. A group of Croatian businesspeople is also visiting Kosovo in order to inspect investment opportunities. The Croatian and Kosovo businesspeople will hold an economic forum and they will discuss possible cooperation, especially after the Kosovo government has banned import from central Serbia. The Croatian prime minister will also meet with Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Slobodan Petrovic and KFOR Commander Erhard Buhler and Croatian KFOR troops. After a lunch with Thaci, she will have a meeting with Kosovo assembly speaker Jakup Krasniqi and visit the village of Janjevo which used to be populated mainly by Croats. Jadranka Kosor (Tanjug)

After a meeting with her Kosovo counterpart Hashim Thaci in Priština and signing of several bilateral agreements on European integration and road transportation, Kosor said that Merkel’s positions had been harmonized during her visit to Zagreb two days earlier.
