Croatian President Ivo Josipovic yesterday visited the Bosnian Serb entity, Republic of Srpska (RS). He joined RS president and prime minister Rajko Kuzmanovic and Milorad Dodik, and Bosnian Muslim Party for Democratic Action (SDA) President Sulejman Tihic in a commemoration for at a memorial site for Serb victims in Sijekovac near the town of Bosanski Brod. The RS premier offered his condolences to the families of the victims in the name of the RS government, regardless of nation and faith, adding that all those who committed crimes must be prosecuted for those acts. Tihic spoke to state that there was “no collective guilty for nations” and that all the individuals who committed the crimes need to be punished for their acts. He said that all missing persons from the war must be found as well in order to give them dignified burials. Kuzmanović said that it was very important to send a message to make sure that “something similar to this never happens again”, stating that he believes that the visit of the Croatian president was an signal for co-existence and reconciliation in the region.

The RS premier offered his condolences to the families of the victims in the name of the RS government, regardless of nation and faith, adding that all those who committed crimes must be prosecuted for those acts.
