Chinese president's special envoy arrives in Serbia
According to the Serbian government, Stefanovic said it was "a great honor that the special envoy of the President of the people's Republic of China came to visit Serbia" and that this will be "an opportunity to discuss how to improve the security situation and the cooperation between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Serbia.""We are well aware of your commitment in the fight against organized crime, terrorism and all other forms of endangering the security of both China and other countries of the world," Stefanovic said.
Meng thanked Stefanovic for the welcome "and on careful preparation of this visit," the government said on its website.
"I am pleased to be the head of the Chinese delegation that is on a visit to your beautiful country. Immediately upon arrival, I felt your hospitality. There is a long, traditional friendship, as well as cooperation between China and Serbia. Our president, Xi Jinping, visited your country last year, while your president, Aleksandar Vucic, participated this year in the international forum in China," the Chinese official is quoted as saying, and adding:
"Owing to a greater commitment of the two leaders, our cooperation is getting better."
