EP rapporteur to visit Serbia on Monday

Serbia’s President Tomislav Nikolić will meet with European Parliament (EP) Rapporteur for Serbia Jelko Kacin on Monday, Tanjug has learnt.

BELGRADE Serbia’s President Tomislav Nikolic will meet with European Parliament (EP) Rapporteur for Serbia Jelko Kacin on Monday, Tanjug has learnt. Kacin will stay in Belgrade for three days and he will meet with top Serbian officials during the visit. EP rapporteur to visit Serbia on Monday Kacin said in his report to the EP after the Serbian presidential election that he expected Nikolic to continue to lead the country toward the EU. “Bearing in mind his nationalistic past, regional leaders and the EU will carefully monitor his first moves as the Serbian president,” Kacin stressed. After the Serbian president’s visit to Brussels, Kacin said that “Nikolic made a good impression in Brussels”. He said that he expected Serbia to improve its relations with neighboring countries. EP rapporteur to visit Serbia on Monday

Kacin said in his report to the EP after the Serbian presidential election that he expected Nikolić to continue to lead the country toward the EU.
