SPO warns of “new Operation Storm”

Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) Committee on Kosovo has requested from the Serbian government to accept the “non-status” part of the Ahtisaari plan. The party stressed that this part of the Ahtisaari plan should serve as a foundation for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. SPO warns of “new Operation Storm” SPO added that Serbs living south of the Ibar River did not want to be the victims of a new Operation Storm. “There are twice as many of us who live in Serb municipalities and enclaves south of the Ibar River than the Serbs living in four municipalities in the north and the entire Kosovo spiritual heritage is in this part of Kosovo and Metohija,” reads SPO Committee on Kosovo’s release. The party also asked Serbian media to stop withholding the content of the Ahtisaari plan from the citizens. “We demand a U-turn in the policy of barricades and referendum that will lead us back to the tragic 90s. SPO added that Serbs living south of the Ibar River did not want to be the victims of a new Operation Storm.
