The ruling Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) would like presidential elections in Kosovo to be held in 2013 so its leader and Kosovo PM Hashim Thaci could run. This is according to Pristina based Albanian language daily Zeri. Daily: Thaci wants to run for president The presidential elections in Kosovo should be held this year. Political analysts believe that the last PDK Presidency’s statement supporting requests to change the Constitution basically means postponement of the presidential elections. “It is more than evident that PDK wants to postpone the presidential elections until 2013, because the prime minister is interested in completing his mandate and running for president,” analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu told the daily. The presidential elections in Kosovo should be held this year.

Political analysts believe that the last PDK Presidency’s statement supporting requests to change the Constitution basically means postponement of the presidential elections.
