Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci has told B92 that the six-point document on the EULEX deployment in Kosovo is unacceptable for Pristina. Thaci told B92 that the EULEX mission would be accepted only if it was in accordance with the Ahtisaari plan. Thaci: Problem lies with Belgrade “Belgrade is the problem, because it definitely needs to realize that Kosovo is an independent and democratic country,” Thaci told B92 in an exclusive interview. "Belgrade has no jurisdiction over Kosovo, and Belgrade’s tendencies must be forgotten once and for all,” Thaci says. “There will be no illegal or illegitimate structures in Kosovo, no parallel judicial system, police, customs or other sectors. “We will function as a stable united country with a functional system for all Kosovo’s citizens,” Thaci said. “The EULEX mission has a full mandate and received the full support of all international mechanisms and has been accepted by Pristina. We have close cooperation with the mission, but we shall not accept new conditions for EULEX’s deployment. EULEX has got a full mandate and we support that mandate entirely. We are partners,” Thaci said. Hashim Thaci (FoNet, archive)
